Ok but… in the last series it’s implied that they’re heading for winter and that they can’t grow enough food for it. Yes they defeat the sisters and the grey sludge ™ but I still have questions: were they able to grow enough food for the winter? If not, did they ration? Did people still starve? How devastating was this?
The miscommunication between Newt and Tina isn’t about Leta or not writing to each other or some fluff, but about Credence.
I think Newt knew that Credence was alive but didn’t tell Tina out of fear she would look for him and be in danger, only for her to find out, or maybe they had a disagreement as what to do with Credence.
So then this leads to Tina, miss. independent and annoyed with Newt, searching for Credence herself, and so when Newt finds out he goes after her (cue the ‘Newt tracks Tina’ song). Maybe have them properly apologise to each other and start to work things out.
I guess I theorise this because I don’t want Tina to just be the love interest: I want Tina to be snappy and have her own direction, and not just be overly jealous (don’t get me wrong, jealously happens and is completely natural, but I don’t want it to be her whole thing). I also want a realistic relationship between Newt and Tina: let them have disagreements and misunderstandings, but then show their relationship blossom into one of mutual respect and understanding rather than them both being a ‘yes man/woman’ to each other.
Tory: Ben, I’m cold
Ben: Here, take my jacket
Ella: Chance, I’m cold
Chane:Well jees I can’t control the weather!
